Plan the whole route, not just the room.
A short distance on a map can still mean steps, queues or a difficult entrance. Check every part of the journey with your parent.
Before departure
Choose manageable flights and connections. Request assistance directly from the airline and confirm its rules for your mobility device.
Airport to hotel
Confirm the vehicle’s entry height, wheelchair and luggage space, and who helps with boarding. “Private transfer” does not mean accessible.
Room to mosque
Check the actual walking route, slopes, crossings, entrance and lifts. Confirm room and bathroom features with the property.
Worship and return
Confirm current wheelchair or cart arrangements locally. Plan a meeting point, a companion and a comfortable way back to the hotel.

Support with a named responsibility
Agree who handles luggage, assists with transfers and accompanies your parent. A group leader is not automatically a personal caregiver.

Does a 5-star hotel guarantee accessibility?
No. Confirm the exact room, bathroom, entrances, lifts and route to the mosque. Star rating and map distance do not establish whether a stay meets an individual traveler’s needs.
Should we choose a private or group package?
Choose by the actual pace, support and flexibility. Private arrangements may offer more control, but a suitable group can work if its schedule and support match your family’s needs. Confirm the details and costs.
Will a group leader provide personal care?
Do not assume so. Confirm responsibilities with the Umrah agency and arrange a family companion or appropriate care support when needed.
