Umrah Quote Checklist: What Every Package Quote Should Show

Two Umrah quotes can show a similar total price while describing very different trips. One may include airfare and baggage while another does not. One may assume four people in a room while another assumes two. One may include every major Saudi transfer while another includes only airport pickup.

The easiest way to compare quotes fairly is to put each quote into the same checklist.

1. Total price

Confirm whether the price is per person or for the full group. If it is per person, confirm the room occupancy used to calculate it.

Also ask whether taxes, service charges or mandatory fees can still be added later.

2. International flights

  • U.S. departure airport
  • Saudi arrival and departure airports
  • Travel dates
  • Airline
  • Number of stops
  • Cabin class
  • Checked baggage allowance

If flights are excluded, label the quote clearly as land-only before comparing it with a flight-inclusive option.

3. Makkah hotel

  • Exact hotel name
  • Check-in and check-out dates
  • Number of nights
  • Room type or occupancy
  • Meal plan
  • How the traveler reaches the Haram

A general hotel category is useful early in planning, but the final booking decision should be based on the actual hotel being offered.

4. Madinah hotel

Use the same checklist for Madinah. Confirm the exact property and room setup rather than assuming the Makkah terms automatically apply.

5. Room arrangement

Write down the number of rooms and who is expected to stay in each room. A “quad” price means something very different from a double-room price. Families should verify bed arrangements, especially when traveling with children.

6. Visa or entry assistance

Ask the agency to state exactly what assistance is included and whether any government or third-party charges are separate. Entry rules can change, so current eligibility should be confirmed for each traveler before payment.

7. Saudi transportation

Do not accept “transportation included” as the end of the discussion. Break it into individual rides:

  • Arrival airport to first hotel
  • Makkah to Madinah or Madinah to Makkah
  • Train-station transfers when relevant
  • Ziyarat transportation
  • Final hotel to departure airport

Then identify whether each ride is private or shared.

8. Ziyarat and guide services

Confirm which cities are included, whether transportation is part of the price and whether a guide is included.

9. Meals

Write down whether the package includes no meals, breakfast, half board, full board or special Ramadan meal arrangements. Do not assume that a hotel stay automatically includes breakfast.

10. Support

Ask who assists travelers before departure and while in Saudi Arabia. Write down the contact method and whether the trip includes a group leader or local support.

11. What is excluded

A good comparison needs exclusions as much as inclusions. Examples may include optional tours, personal expenses, extra baggage, room upgrades or services not listed in the quote.

12. Payment and cancellation terms

  • Initial deposit
  • Balance due date
  • What becomes non-refundable
  • Change fees or fare differences
  • Cancellation terms
  • Refund process

Read our deposit, cancellation and refund guide before paying.

13. Quote validity and availability

Travel prices and hotel or flight inventory can change. Ask when the quote expires and which components are still subject to final confirmation.

Simple side-by-side format

When reviewing multiple options, use the same rows for every agency: total, flights, Makkah hotel, Madinah hotel, rooms, visa assistance, transfers, meals, Ziyarat, support, deposit and cancellation terms. Missing information becomes easy to spot.

KaabaSharif's Compare Umrah Quotes page explains the same process, and our package comparison guide goes deeper into value rather than headline price.

Before requesting quotes

The quality of a quote depends on the quality of the request. Be ready with your departure city, preferred dates, traveler counts and ages, Makkah and Madinah nights, hotel preference, room needs, flights, transportation and budget.
